Welcome to the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs' art collection.

The main purpose of the collection is to promote Norwegian art abroad, along with Norwegian design and furniture. At the embassies, you will find art in the reception rooms such as the meeting rooms in the offices and in the Ambassadors´ residence.

Publishing the collection is a work in progress. In time, the public will gain insight into the entire collection, but initially a selection of the collection and articles on how it came to be will be presented.

The Advisory Art Committee ensures that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs receives a representative selection of artworks by renowned artists, with emphasis on Norwegian artists. The committee is also considering offers of artistic gifts to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The art committee is appointed by the Secretary General.
